I bring a unique and dynamic teaching approach that integrates problem-based learning with real-world experiences. Drawing from my diverse background as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Therapy Assistant, Health Care Aide, and Emergency Responder, I strive to create a holistic and engaging learning environment. My goal is to help students connect theory to practice in meaningful ways that prepare them for the realities of healthcare.
I have a passion for teaching anatomy and physiology, as well as foundational care principles, activities of daily living, and the use of mobility aids. These topics provide the perfect platform to explore critical thinking and the importance of compassionate, competent care. Teaching at Medicine Hat College is deeply rewarding. As an alumna, I value the colleges strong sense of community and its dedication to both student success and broader community impact. In the classroom, students can expect an interactive learning experience that emphasizes accountability, encourages outside-the-box thinking, and connects course content to real-life clinical scenarios.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and wrangling our three lively dogs—there’s never a dull moment!
