Dr. Samuel Hanson is a passionate and dedicated chemistry educator committed to inspiring and engaging the next generation of scientists. With a strong academic foundation, Dr. Hanson brings both depth of knowledge and genuine enthusiasm to the classroom.
In the classroom, he strives to create a supportive and interactive learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and connect chemistry and environmental concepts to real-world applications. He believes in nurturing and empowering students to reach their full potential. Driven by a love for both teaching and discovery, Dr. Hanson integrates research insights into the classroom, helping students connect theory to practical applications.
With a warm smile and an approachable teaching style, Samuel is committed to creating a learning environment where students feel supported, motivated and confident. Nothing excites him more than seeing a student’s face brighten with understanding and curiosity.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Hanson is involved in research that focuses on the development of metal complexes and porous materials for catalytic applications and environmental remediation. His work aims to address pressing global challenges by advancing materials capable of improving chemical transformations and mitigating environmental pollutants.
When not teaching or conducting research, Samuel enjoys spending quality time with his family, watching movies, and traveling.
