What really makes my teaching unique is my passion for healthcare simulation. Simulation lets students step into realistic scenarios, practice their skills, and build confidence before heading into real clinical settings. I put a big focus on creating a supportive, comfortable space and work hard to make sure students feel encouraged and respected.
Simulation is hands-down my favorite activity. I love seeing students work together through a scenario, make decisions under pressure, and then reflect on what went well and what could be improved. It's such a powerful way to connect classroom learning to real-world practice, and it's always exciting to watch students realize just how much they've grown.
Students can expect a welcoming and respectful atmosphere where it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them. I'll challenge them with realistic, hands-on activities, but I'll also be there to guide and support them every step of the way. At the end of the day, my goal is to help students leave the classroom and simulation lab feeling confident, capable, and ready for their future careers.
