Tina Leighton
COMMUNITY RELATIONS OFFICER
As a Community Relations Officer, my role centers on promoting our Alumni Relations through a variety of engagement initiatives. These include the Alumni Partnership Program, support for Rattlers athletics, Alumni Movie Days, the annual Stampede Breakfast, and Convocation Alumni Social, among others. Each event is designed to strengthen connections between alumni and the institution while celebrating shared experiences and community spirit. I also work closely with our Indigenous Engagement Department to cultivate meaningful relationships through culturally significant institutional events such as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Red Dress Day, and others.
As a lifelong resident of Medicine Hat, I’ve built my career in customer service through meaningful collaboration with community members. I’m passionate about fostering human connections and working toward shared goals that create positive impact.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and gardening, particularly growing my own food, as well as spending quality time with my family. Watching my son play sports and sharing everyday moments with my husband, children, and our five-year-old golden retriever, Tucker, brings me a great deal of joy.
