Introduction to Biological Anthropology
Introduction to the major fields of biological anthropology, including human paleontology, primatology, genetics, osteology, human adaptation, and human variation. These fields rely on the principles of evolutionary theory and processes for the basis of understanding primate and human adaptation. The path of human evolution is studied through the observation of biological and behavioural responses to environmental stresses using modern primates, fossil species, and modern human skeletal anatomy.
NOTE: Students cannot receive credit for both ANTH 201 and ANTH 1101.
