Building Design III
This is an advanced course, covering the technology, terminology, building practices and drafting standards for commercial building design and construction. Topics include Part 3 of the Alberta Building Code, Barrier-Free design, occupant safety, Municipal Land Use Bylaw, elevators, steel construction, and concrete masonry building construction. Students will use Autodesk Revit 3D modeling software to create industry standard drawings for commercial permit applications and building construction.
