The Organization and Diversity of Life
Introduction to fundamental concepts that are the basis for life on earth, including biomolecules, the central dogma, metabolism, cellular function, inheritance, and mechanisms of evolution. Species diversity from unicellular organisms to complex mammals is covered in detail. Exploring the interaction of plant and animal species within the biome will illustrate the interdependence of life on Earth.
NOTE: Not open for credit to majors or minors in Biological Sciences. Credit for only one of BIOL 205 and BIOL 231 will be allowed.
