Technical Communications

This course prepares students to communicate using the language, structure, style, content, and graphic presentation common in the engineering and architectural technology disciplines. Topics include communication for engineering changes such as Requests for Information (RFIs) and Change Orders (COs); instructions and procedures; meeting agendas, and summaries; process flow charts; and employment search communications including resume, cover letter , job interview, and strategies to identify and interpret technical literature appropriate to the discipline.
Students will learn and apply Microsoft Office applications, and other applications to communicate clearly and effectively.
