Outdoor Pedagogy in Early Learning
An exploration of outdoor and nature play in the early years is the focus of this course. Instructors and students will learn collaboratively in outdoor settings across the seasons. This is a hands-on course with experiences beyond the classroom boundaries allowing students to increase their awareness of how to learn in and with nature. The relationship of outdoor and nature play to children’s holistic development, learning, and thinking are included. This course takes a land-based, all-weather and four-season approach to teaching and learning.
