Security

This course focuses on the operational and technical aspects of computer and network security such as access control, data privacy, law and ethics, wireless security, web attacks and defense, virus protection, encryption, firewall configuration, and network monitoring. Good network management and administration techniques are emphasized as fundamentals to maintaining secure systems and networks. Students will be introduced to cloud security and ethical hacking, including penetration testing. The course will introduce a fundamental working knowledge of key cryptography concepts, authentication methods, and public key infrastructure in support of the development of a secure network infrastructure.
