Sustainable Operations
This course explores the foundations of operations management in
the context of sustainability. It will provide students with a comprehensive
understanding of the core concepts in the field of operations
management while integrating emergent, business, social and
environmental issues. Students will explore different core concepts
as eco-efficiently, supply chain management, quality and process
improvement, and lean systems. Concepts such as eco-efficiency,
sustainable supply chain management, environmental management
systems, and how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can make
a significant contribution towards sustainability.
