Supporting Health III: People with Life Threatening Health Challenges

Addresses nursing practices in acute unstable illness, injury and
disease. The study of application of nursing assessments, technological
interventions and best evidence nursing practices in common
major acute illnesses in individuals of all age groups, set within the
context of their families and communities. Emphasis is on attaining
knowledge of secondary and tertiary prevention strategies. Pharmacological
applications to major acute disease conditions. Third
and Fourth Years of the Nursing program are University of Calgary
courses. The numbering system is based upon the guidelines of this
institution. You must register through the University of Calgary - fees
are charged by the University of Calgary.
