Social Work Practicum II

SLWK 213 involves supervised study and practice. Students spend
24-32 hours a week in a social service agency. After an initial orientation
period, students are expected to assume responsibility for
assigned work in order to enhance their knowledge, skills, values,
and attitudes in social work methods, and actively engage in social
work practice. During agency work, attention is given to teaching you
specific skills, developing competence in terms of offering services to
clients, and participating in overall agency programs. Biweekly seminars
focus on integrating the program philosophy, common themes
