Deviant Group Behaviour

This course provides systematic analyses of deviant group behavior with an emphasis on the non-legal aspects of deviance. In particular, this course emphasizes deviant subcultures and the ways in which sociologists consider deviance. Through a sociological lens, the course examines histories in which LGBTQ+ communities, mental health conditions, and other identities have been mislabeled as deviant.
