National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+)
Held annually on May 5, this day honours the lives lost, supports impacted families, and raises awareness of the ongoing violence faced by Indigenous peoples. A public gathering will take place on Monday, May 5 at 6 p.m. on the MHC campus outside the main entrance. It will include an Indigenous prayer, a 1 km awareness walk, guest speaker and honour song.
