Medicine Hat College invites applications for program development experts for the School of Business and Continuing Studies. The SMEs will work in collaboration with the Dean, the School, and the Centre for Innovation and Teaching Excellence team to establish an Introduction to Plant and Soil Science course in our Agribusiness certificate program. This project is to be completed by June 2026.
A little about the role:
This role reports to the Associate Dean and focuses on developing high-quality course content for online delivery. You’ll design a comprehensive course outline with clear learning outcomes, readings, and requirements aligned to the course description. In addition, you’ll create engaging text and recorded modules for each week, ensuring students have a structured and interactive learning experience. The position also involves preparing discussion guides, assignments, exams, and rubrics, along with detailed evaluation guidelines and marking criteria. You’ll compile reference lists for each topic and manage copyright clearance where needed. Overall, this role plays a key part in shaping a well-organized, accessible, and academically rigorous course.

Compensation: $6,000 for the full term
