Medicine Hat College invites applications for casual Library Technicians in our Vera Bracken Library.
A little about the role:
Reporting to the Technology & Resources Librarian, the primary areas of responsibilities for this position are to provide excellent customer service, support faculty and students, and provide technical support by performing collections management tasks, reference services, and project work.
Details:
• Two (2) years related library experience, including research/citation support
• Equivalent combinations of post-secondary education and work experience may be considered
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies
• Ability to problem solve, be self-motivated, and work independently and as part of a large team is essential
• Ability to train and share knowledge with others to support the operation of the team.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, and communication skills are required
Term of Appointment: ASAP to April 30, 2026
Hours of Work: 3 hours per week, Potential for additional hours providing coworker leave coverage
Wage Rate: $26.16 per hour (Start Rate); $29.35 per hour (Job Rate)
