Medicine Hat College’s School of Trades and Technology invites applications for a full-time, term certain Instructor in the Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship program. The one-year term will begin July 1, 2026 ending June 30, 2027, with the possibility of renewal.
A little about the role:
The responsibilities could include preparing and presenting classes in classroom/shop/lab settings, organizing and supervising practical assignments, conducting student evaluations and maintaining progress records. Seeking feedback from students on instructional effectiveness and relevance, participating in course reviews, program development and reviews, curriculum development, and maintaining contact with relevant industries will be on-going duties.

Details:
- High School Diploma.
- Completion of Alberta Journeyman/Inter-Provincial Red Seal AST ticket required, dual ticketed in AST/ HET preferred.
- Five years’ experience in the field.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
