Medicine Hat College invites applications for a full-time, regular Student Recruiter - an advocate of Medicine Hat College and the quality student experience we provide.
A little about the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Marketing & Design, the Student Recruiter is responsible for representing Medicine Hat College (MHC) across Alberta and Saskatchewan by attending recruitment events and leading the planning and delivery of on-campus recruitment activities. The role supports domestic recruitment through marketing, outreach, and relationship-building efforts.
This position works closely with prospective students, high schools, and community partners to build awareness of MHC and its learning opportunities. The Student Recruiter provides accurate, timely advice and guidance on program offerings, admission requirements, and pathways (including laddering opportunities) to support students in making informed decisions.
Travel and overnight stay throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan will be required; the amount will be determined based on operational needs.
Details:
- An undergraduate University Degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and work experience.
- Two years’ related work experience, preferably in a post-secondary educational environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Medicine Hat College programs, services, and student supports.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Western Canada.
- Demonstrated confidence in public speaking, including presentations to large groups (up to 1,000 individuals).
- A valid driver’s license.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Wage Rate: $30.90 per hour (Start Rate); $34.54 per hour (Job Rate)
