Medicine Hat College is excited to invite applications for a rewarding opportunity as a full-time instructor in our Social Work Diploma program. This is a full-time position commencing ASAP. Subject to successful completion of a two-year probationary period, this position will be a continuous appointment in the Yuill School of Health & Community Services.
Details:
• Registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers
• Five years’ experience in the Social Work field
• Previous teaching experience is preferred
• Experience in leadership roles is preferred
• Experience working with Indigenous communities and a deep understanding of their unique challenges and perspectives is preferred
• Having scholarship and /or experience in the promotion of Traditional Knowledge, Indigenous philosophies and methodologies is preferred
• Willingness to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that focuses on student success and has a positive, appreciative and enthusiastic personality
• Strong communication skills and computer literacy
