Medicine Hat College invites applicants for a part-time, temporary instructor for the Power Engineering Technology Diploma Program for the 2026-2027 academic year.
A little about the role:
Responsibilities include preparing for and instructing classes which address all aspects of Power Engineering. The successful candidate will also work as a member of the instructional team in preparing and guiding students through operation of the Cenovus Power Engineering Technology Centre, a state-of-the-art facility at the Medicine Hat campus dedicated to training new Power Engineers. Adapting instruction based on feedback from students, participating in program and curriculum development, and maintaining contact with relevant industries will be on-going duties. The successful candidate will also be required to engage in a variety of professional responsibilities and contribute to a collaborative environment that fosters the mission of the college and the success of our students. This position requires a passion for, and a commitment to learners, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
Details:
- First or Second-Class Power Engineering Certificate of competency valid in the Province of Alberta OR an equivalent combination of Third-Class Power Engineering Certificate and related industry experience may be considered.
- Diversified background of industrial experience.
- Training or instruction in a classroom setting would be a definite asset.
