Medicine Hat College’s Yuill School of Health and Community Services invites applications for part-time, temporary instructors for Interdisciplinary Studies (IDST) for the 2026-2027 academic year.
A little about the role:
The successful candidates could be responsible for teaching lectures and labs. The IDST courses provide knowledge and skills in communication tailored for individuals pursuing careers in helping professions, such as addictions counselling, social work, criminal justice, child and youth care counselling, paramedicine, nursing and therapy assistant. The lecture component will cover key communication theories, techniques, and strategies that are essential for effective interaction with clients in a helping context. The lab component will provide students with practical, hands-on experience, allowing them to engage in role-playing, simulations, and other interactive exercises designed to refine their communication skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Post-Secondary teaching experience is an asset.
