The Centre for Innovation (C4I) at Medicine Hat College (MHC) is pleased to offer three Student Research Assistant positions focused on strengthening Canada’s Reserve Force through whole-of-society mobilization. We invite current students enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution who are motivated, analytical, and interested in defence, public policy, emergency management, workforce development and applied research to apply.
The project team will include three student researchers, each supporting a distinct area of the project:
A little about the role:
Research and Policy Analysis:
In this role, you will:
- Conduct literature reviews and policy scans related to defence readiness, emergency management, Reserve Force expansion, workforce development, and national resilience.
- Research and analyze workforce skill requirements.
- Prepare briefing notes and contribute to a final report summarizing findings and recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communications:
In this role, you will:
- Plan and organize stakeholder engagement activities.
- Prepare communications for project team and participants
- Contribute to reports, briefing notes, and presentations.
Economics:
In this role, you will:
- Support cost benefit and return on investment analysis.
- Research training, recruitment, and retention costs.
- Assist in developing evidence-based economic models.
