The Centre for Innovation (C4I) at Medicine Hat College (MHC) is pleased to invite applications for a Project Lead to support applied research focused on strengthening Canada’s Reserve Force through whole-of-society mobilization.
A little about the role:
Using Southeast Alberta as a case study, the project will assess regional skills needs, training capacity, workforce development pathways, and scalable approaches to building national preparedness and resilience.
The Project Lead will work closely with the C4i Research Coordinator, student research assistants, and external partners to coordinate project activities, lead stakeholder engagement efforts, and oversee project delivery.
The successful candidate will:
• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities and deliverables.
• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and reporting.
• Lead stakeholder engagement activities including interviews, workshops, meetings, and consultations sessions.
• Support student research assistants.
• Work collaboratively with the research team to develop reports, briefing notes, presentations, and policy recommendations.

• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• A background or strong interest in Political Science, Business, Education or Finance.
Hours of Work: up to 15 hours per week
Wage Rate: $50.00 per hour
