Medicine Hat College (MHC) is seeking a dedicated Student Research Assistant to support the research project: “Teaching Across Cultures: The Impact of cross-cultural instructional experience on teaching, learning, and course design”. We invite current students enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution who are motivated, analytical, and interested in research to apply. This position is ideal for students who are passionate about post-secondary education and research.
A little about the role:
As the Student Research Assistant, you will support the research by collecting, organizing, and possibly analyzing data on student educational experience within cohort sites of two post secondary institutions. Your work will contribute to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
Duties will include:
• Conduct literature reviews on the research topic.
• Support data collection by assisting with surveys.
• Possibly analyze the data to identify themes.
Details:
• Keen attention to detail in data collection, documentation, and coordination.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Background in data analysis, health, or community/human services – or related fields, such as Education, Psychology or Sociology.
Hours of Work: Up to 90 hours for the term; weekly hours are flexible based on project workflow
Wage Rate: $20.00 per hour
