Medicine Hat College’s Financial Services department is welcoming applications for a full-time temporary Accounting Assistant I.
A little about the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, the primary area of responsibility for the Accounting Assistant I is to provide accounting and general administrative support services in accordance with established college policies and departmental procedures and practices. General areas of responsibility include accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, general ledger and other services administered by the Corporate Finance Division.
Details:
• Two years of experience in an accounting administrative environment.
• Knowledge of standardized accounting processes and general administrative support services in accordance with established college policies and departmental procedures and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Term of Appointment: April 1 2026 – November 12, 2026
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Wage Rate: $23.55 per hour (Start Rate); $26.77 per hour (Job Rate)
