Success by Design: Scaffolding and Adaptive Release in Blackboard
Session Description
CITE Teaching Series provides meaningful insights on popular educational practices and supports teaching excellence at Medicine Hat College. In this session, use Blackboard Ultra to build intentional, student-centered learning paths. We'll explore how to scaffold assignments to support student learning and build confidence through progressive challenges. You'll learn how to use Blackboard's Adaptive Release Tools to personalize learning paths, control content visibility, and ensure students meet key milestones before moving forward.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
• Understand the principles of scaffolding and how they apply to assignment design
• Learn how to set up Adaptive Release rules based on performance, dates, and review status
• Leave with ready-to-implement ideas for your own Blackboard Ultra course
