Intaglio I

This course offers an introduction to concepts, processes and techniques in intaglio printmaking. Students will become familiar with techniques such as dry point, etching, and aquatint, as a means to explore composition and the drawing and painterly characteristics of intaglio print making. Classes will consist of lectures, critiques, and studio based work. Students will also acquire an understanding of the history of intaglio print making.
