Criminal Justice Practicum

Practicum work involves supervised study and job shadowing of criminal justice professionals. Students will spend 5 hours a week on site at a criminal justice organization for a period of 12 weeks. After an orientation period, students will assume responsibility for assigned agency duties to enhance their knowledge, skills, and professional capacity within the field of criminal justice. Practicum work and agency expectations will vary depending on placement, and progress will be monitored primarily by the external agency preceptor.

Bi-weekly seminars will focus on identifying the relevance and cross-over of program content and skills with practicum experiences.
