Mechanical Design II
This course will examine the design of mechanical systems and analysis of components for power transmission and prepare drawings and 3D models in accordance with industry standards. Topics include modeling and analysis of shafts, gears, bearings, and mechanisms using Autodesk Inventor and FEA tools to complete a functional gearbox design, working drawings, and introductory VBA for AutoCAD automation. Students will use 3D printing to explore fundamental manufacturing concepts.
