Civil Design III
This is an advanced course covering the theories and practices common in municipal engineering applications. Topics include topographical surface design, subdivision/parcel layout, surface drainage, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, basic roadway design/layout, and civil construction projects.
Legislation, standards, and planning documents including the Alberta Municipal Government Act, Area Structure Plans (ASPs), Municipal Servicing Standards Manual (MSSM), and Construction Standard are covered. Students will use Autodesk CIVIL 3D to produce industry standard construction drawings for municipal infrastructure and land development projects.
