Practicum I
This course provides students with an opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge of the role of educator in appropriate childcare settings under the supervision of the practicum supervisor and a designated educator. In addition to engaging with children, students are expected to, alongside their site mentor, take on responsibilities in the playroom room for five days a week. These responsibilities include managing transitions, offering invitations to play, participating in outdoor play, and other day to day routines and tasks that need to be completed in the center. Additionally, learners adhere to ethical and regulatory guidelines and demonstrate compliance in their practice. In the documentation portion, students will complete assignments as outlined by their practicum supervisor.
