Ecology of the Family

This course is centered on the role of early childhood educator in the lives of children and families. It includes an overview of the family in today’s society and of the many issues that affect the family. The course explores family diversity relating to culture, economic circumstances, gender, and more. Students will work to develop a strengths-based, inclusive approach to working with all families who they encounter in early learning settings.
