Canadian Investment Funds
This course teaches the content of the Canadian Investment Funds (CIFC) course of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada. The course focuses on the basics of mutual funds and the mutual funds industry in Canada. Specific topics include assessing client needs, types of mutual funds, investing and financial instruments, taxation, and pensions and retirement. Your tuition fee includes all course materials, access to on-line resources, and the registration fee for IFSE. Students are required to register with IFSE.ca in their first week and are then eligible to write the mutual funds exam, which, if passed, gives you license to sell mutual funds when employed at a Canadian financial institution. As a non-Business student you are also welcome to take the course for reasons of personal interest or professional development.
NOTE: Required Industry Fee of $250+GST (costs may vary from time of publication) has been added onto the MHC Tuition. If students want a hard covered textbook this is an additional fee.
