IT Systems Support
This course examines the installation and use of Linux client/desktop operating systems and the role that the Linux operating system plays in today’s computing environment. Additional topics will focus on system protection. Logical and physical security concepts and cryptography will be introduced including such uses as encryption of files, drives, email and public key infrastructure. Students will also use a variety of methods to detect, remove and prevent malware infections. This course will help students prepare for the (optional) CompTIA A+ industry examinations.
