MHC celebrates International Education Week
November 5, 2018
Celebrating education and culture are at the core of Medicine Hat College’s (MHC) International Education Week (IEW). Held this year from Nov. 5 – 9, the event offers an opportunity for all students to learn and engage with MHC’s global community.
As stated by Alberta Education, IEW is an annual, week-long event that is celebrated by over 100 countries around the world. It provides various government and non-governmental organizations that are active in international education with a chance to showcase the diverse programming and activities that students are exposed to which enrich their learning and prepare them for global citizenship.
Activities at MHC include an international showcase, poster presentations, and food fare from around the world. The week will wrap up with a Pecha Kucha night on Friday, Nov. 9 in the Eresman Theatre. Community members are welcome to attend any of the IEW events.
