New Student Orientation kicks off Fall 2021
August 27, 2021
With September right around the corner, Medicine Hat College (MHC) is set to kick off the 2021-2022 academic year with new students starting their journey and learning the ins and outs of the college experience.
New Student Orientation (NSO) 2021 includes both online and in-person components, with Part 1 available at www.mhc.ab.ca/NSO2021 for students to review at their own pace.
NSO Part 1 shares insight into the first four weeks as a new student at MHC, providing information about important dates, actions to take, available supports and services, class schedules, college technology, and more.
For NSO Part 2, MHC staff and faculty are excited to officially welcome first-year students to campus on September 1, 2021 for a day of meet-and-greets, tours and orientations, and live music during a free lunch. Students are asked to arrive during the timeframe designated for their program.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome students back on campus this year for New Student Orientation. Our goal is to make sure all students feel welcomed, prepared, and excited to start their college journey with us,” says Alison Clark, student recruiter at MHC.
Due to an increased number of COVID-19 cases in the region, masks must be worn in all public indoor areas on campus in Medicine Hat and Brooks where physical distancing of 2m is not possible or where a protective barrier is not in place.
