MHC rescinding COVID-19 Policy
February 15, 2022
A new public health order 08-2022 is now in place, eliminating the mandatory requirement for physical distancing on campus. As a result, Medicine Hat College is able to rescind its COVID-19 Policy, which was developed last September to permit continued delivery of in-person learning.
- Proof of vaccination, privately paid negative rapid test or approved medical exemption is not necessary to enter Medicine Hat College facilities.
- Masking remains in place for classrooms and common areas, as per the public health order 08-2022.
It is expected that masking, along with provincial work from home requirements, will be lifted by government on March 1.
- Students on practicum are still expected to adhere to any restrictions of their employer or off campus worksite.
- Please stay home if you are feeling ill to support the health and wellness of yourself and others.
We recognize these have been difficult times for our entire college community and ask for your continued kindness and respect as we move forward.
